A Successful Season

The final two meetings of the year - were a celebration of a good year. Two of our speakers achieved the Masterpiece awards. James and Gerard. The culmination of the practice and dedication that they put into speaking was recognised. The Masterpiece has to be judged by two evaluators - one of whom is external to the club. We were delighted to welcome David L - the London Area President for James' speech, and AN immediate past National Champion Michael R for Gerard's speech. In addition we had an Interim speech award achieved as well by Martin. We work hard at speeches but have also had a great deal of fun this speaking year. With just the dinner left on the speaking calendar, we will celebrate our achievements, rest until September and then welcome Gerard as the new Croydon Club President, taking over from Margot who has worked hard for the club this year.
