October 8th Meeting. We meant what we said!

I am delighted to report that the meeting held on the 8th continued to set new standards. It had a focus on speaking with passion, enthusiasm and conviction and that was admirably demonstrated in the specially prepared speeches, as well as the impromptu speaking. In addition we had someone deliver their first speech (icebreaker level 1) and what a fine speech it was. Add into the mix a quick tutorial, first class evaluations and a great deal of fun and you can understand why the evening was special. Over 20 people attended, and yet we managed to give everyone a speaking opportunity. It is always a pleasure to welcome new people and we had two new potential members this evening. Of course it is even better to welcome back people for the second and subsequent time. Croydon continues to gain in strength and develop some amazing speakers. We have a full agenda for the next meeting and people are booking ahead to ensure the ongoing success of our club.
